Fresenius Medical Care Adsorber Tec was founded as Biotec Systems Krems in 1999 as a spin-off from the Danube University and has been part of the worldwide Fresenius health group for 5 years now.

1999 Company founded as Biotec Systems Krems GmbH, a spin-off of Krems Danube University

2001 Start of production with 3 employees

2003 Start of production of the product “Prometh” in January

2005 Entry into the manufacture of immunoadsorbers with start of production of the product “Globaffin”

2007 Fresenius Medical Care Deutschland GmbH acquires 100% of the shares of Biotec Systems Krems GmbH

2010 Renaming of Biotec System GmbH to Fresenius Medical Care Adsorber Tec GmbH; relocation to the Biotechnology Centre; start of creation of own development department and relocation of the product centre to the Krems site

2011 First sales of DALI 500 and 750 products

2012 State winner for Lower Austria in the “Jobs through Innovation 2012” competition

2015 Start of production of the products “IgEnio” and “Ligasorb” created by the company’s own research department; employee numbers reach more than 50 for the first time
